Karen Barton, R.N., C.H.P.N is our Vice President of Business Development. Karen manages Sojourn Care’s relationships with hospital systems, commercial insurance companies and specialty physician practices. In addition, she is responsible for the team of nurses, social workers and chaplains who provide direct patient care to our patients while they are in hospital beds. Karen has over 26 years of nursing experience in critical care, home health, case management, utilization review and contracting and is a certified hospice and palliative care nurse.

Lee Bayouth |

Lee Bayouth, RN, is the Vice President of Clinical Operations. In this role, she directly supervises the delivery of clinical services by all Oklahoma teams as well as managing the daily operations of our Mannford and Drumright sites. Our Team Directors work directly with Lee to ensure that we keep the promises we make each day to our patients and their families. Lee has over 25 years experience in health care management and is a certified home health administrator.

Jeff Brown is our Director of Information Technology. Jeff is the technology point man, making sure everyone knows how to use their communications equipment to effectively do their jobs. It is our desire to take care of our employee’s technical needs with the same passion we expect them to take care of our patients and their families. Jeff has 10+ years experience building/supporting computer systems and networks. Jeff is MCSA, A+ and N+ certified and is a former youth minister.

Karen Kochell-James, R.N., C.H.P.N. is our Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer, supervising our commitment to conducting business according to the highest ethical standards. With 19 years of nursing experience, Karen has worked in large medical centers as a critical care and emergency room nurse, admissions coordinator and case manager and has served as a paramedic. She is a certified hospice and palliative care nurse. Karen currently serves on The National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses Education Development Committee and The Palmetto GBA Hospice Coalition.
